Seamar Construction Team

Richard J. Faenza CE RA – Partner

Richard FaenzaMr. Faenza, know to all as Richie, was born in New Jersey and raised in a family of builders. Continuing in that tradition, he studied civil engineering at Newark College of Engineering. After receiving his degree he gained licenses in both professional engineering and architecture. He began his career working on heavy construction projects in the Northeast. Richie became enamored with the Lowcounty and Kiawah Island while here on vacation in the early 80’s. In association with family members, he formed Seamar, Inc. in 1983 to build homes on Kiawah.
“Coming to the Lowcountry was a great decision,” Richie proclaimed, “It has been a wonderful environment for my wife and I to raise our family, have great friends and build a successful business.”

Steven C. Parham – Partner

Steven Parham Steve grew up in the construction business. “My grandfather was a cabinet maker, and it was during those many summers working in his shop, that I learned to love wood working.” His education in the trade continued under the tutelage of his uncle, a home builder. Early in his career Steve was fortunate to have gained the invaluable experience of working with “real building contractors.” He explained that back in those days they literally built the entire home, not using many subcontractors; they cleared the lots, poured the foundations, did the framing and installed the siding. “This hands-on experience now makes it easier to communicate with both employees and subcontractors, they know that almost anything that I ask of them, I have done myself,” Steve said. He has been building in the Charleston area since 1982 and joined the Seamar group in 1994. Steve and his wife, Angie, have three children and one grandchild. He is an avid hunter and fisherman in the Lowcountry tradition. When not at work, hunting or fishing, you might find him out on his Harley.
